Adobe & Pines COVID-19 Travel Information

COVID-19 Travel Information

With the evolving and dynamic coronavirus environment, we are taking extra efforts to keep our rooms and public areas safe and clean for you, our employees and the community at large. While our inn is temporarily closed thru April (although New Mexico mandate is currently allowing a maximum of 25% occupancy), we hope to be open on a very limited basis starting in May. We will be blocking occupied rooms for 3 days after guests leave as part of our enhanced cleaning practices.

We understand that you might choose to stay at home during this time. We have also added a flexible cancellation policy

When We Re-Open for Business: Healthy & Clean (as Always)

Our hearts go out to those who’ve been impacted by the coronavirus. We want you to know that we are closely monitoring the evolving situation in Taos and Northern New Mexico and we are following the advice and direction of the CDC and the New Mexico Health Department for when we will partially or fully re-open.

Built-in Social Distancing

Our historic hacienda is centered on 3 acres of rural pastureland and naturally provides for social distancing. All of our eight guest rooms and casitas have private entrances from the garden or portal and do not share indoor hallways or entrance areas with other rooms. Our three acres of courtyards and naturally landscaped grounds provide ample area to rejuvenate and relax.

Half of our rooms have fully stocked Kitchens or Kitchenettes for those who prefer to eat-in or prepare your own meals.  Breakfast in Bed has always been a no-charge option for guests. If you prefer sleeping in or if you feel uncomfortable eating in our common breakfast area, just ask for this option.

The safety, health, and well-being of our guests and staff as we move forward are paramount for us and we have focused our attention on enhancing routine cleaning and sanitizing.

With less guest traffic, more proactive and preventative measures in place, and plenty of space for friends, couples and families to relax alone, we hope in the near future, to be able to provide space where you can still get away with peace of mind. We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and have taken an extra level of sanitary precautions so you can feel at ease during your stay. The enhanced environmental cleaning practices below are helping us continue to provide a safe and clean environment for all.

ENHANCED ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANING

Comprehensive COVID-19 guidance is in place and we will have a designated employee to focus on sanitizing. This includes routinely cleaning all frequently touched surfaces throughout the property and sanitizing commonly used surfaces throughout the day such as doorknobs, handrails, tables, remote controls, lamp switches, etc. There is hand sanitizer in our living room, food service areas, and at check-in.

Prior to guest arrival, we thoroughly clean and sanitize the room, including sanitizing frequent touch areas such as doorknobs, handles, remote controls, hangers, lamp switches, etc. As usual, all linens are washed after each guest visit and we have simplified our rooms by removing items that can’t regularly be washed or disinfected.  In addition, for the immediate future, we will only be booking rooms after they have been unoccupied for 3 days, just in case.

We sincerely appreciate the trust you place in us when you travel and we thank-you for your understanding as our policies adjust to the changing environment. We promise to closely follow the COVID19 developments and when the environment is ready, and you are ready, we encourage past, present and future guests of Adobe & Pines to get away from the crowds and continue your celebrations, enjoy the beauty of the Gorge and Taos outdoor areas and have confidence in our care. We are here, missing all of you, but staying safe as well.

Please feel free to call 575.751.0947 or email mail@adobepines.com if you have any questions or concerns as we continue to monitor the advice and direction of the CDC and the New Mexico Health Department. We sincerely appreciate the trust you place in us when you travel, and encourage guests to stay informed about CDC reported cases in our state.
